  • we lost our shirts, but had fun doing it.  i love blackjack.
  • elton john + a red piano + an amazing theatre + fourth row center seats + a loving husband = a perfect valentine’s day outing.
  • i experienced a women’s rite of passage while shopping at caesar’s…i purchased my first pair of jimmy choo’s.  and i’m in love.
  • tao has the best sushi evah.
  • i met ron jeremy.
  • spent time with my wonderful family.

there was a fire in my building this morning, so i’m up. damn.

grammies, anyone?  let’s discuss.

i was tooling around online a litle after 8pm last night, and i realized that the grammies were on.  i was tivo-ing american idol in the bedroom, so i headed into the living room to check out the awards.

  • regrettably, i missed madonna and gorillaz.  but i have not been a fan of her recent leotard phase, i must say.
  • i tuned in just in time to see the adorable kelly clarkson win her first award.  how cute was she?  i totally got choked up along with her……shut up.
  • coldplay was awesome.  best i’ve ever seen them.  and chris martin can actually smile and laugh!  who knew?
  • can somebody PLEASE help fergie with her hair?  get the bitch a stylist.
  • an open letter to teri hatcher: you are starting to look like joan rivers.  NO MORE PLASTIC SURGERY.  p.s.–nice rack.
  • k. clarkson’s performance was phat.  i love her 4-ever.  so happy to see her win a second award!
  • john legend did a beautiful job, and his acceptance speech was humble, sweet, and to the point.  i really like him.
  • don’t make me talk about sly and his family stone.  it’s just sad.
  • while i love both herbie hancock and christina aguilera, something about the pairing just didn’t work.  props to both of them for trying.  it was interesting enough.
  • felt the same about U2/mary j…bad song choice.  (sorry, i’m going totally out of order here, i know)
  • kanye…oh, kanye, kanye, kanye…you are an egomaniac, but a fucking talented one.  i love the gold-digger performance, except i guess i could have done without the gold-diggin’ hoes in the hot pants.  but overall, great.  LOVED the lavender suit and gold medallion.
  • mariah scarey…i just don’t get it.  i respect her overall, but all the songs i’ve heard off this current album sound exactly the same to me.  i seriously cannot differentiate between we belong together and don’t forget about us until i hear those actual lyrics sung.  it’s just become so mediocre with her, and not at all grammy-worthy.  i will give credit where it’s due, though…she tore it up vocally by the end of her song last night.
  • springsteen was springsteen…great.
  • i think i might be in love with paul mccartney.  he did helter/skelter!!  sweet!!  and when he appeared during jay z/linkin park i was in heaven.
  • on that note, i was really glad the jay z/l.p. collaboration won a grammy.  great song.

i can’t remember anything else, but if i do, i’ll add it.  peace.

  • ladies (and gents), click here for strength
  • oooh, beemer been BAD!
  • has anyone else read about this mccain/obama fight over the lobbying ethics issue?  i think that mccain is confusing "partisan posturing" for someone simply disagreeing with him and his politics.  thoughts?
  • EDITED TO ADD: i love cool whip.  i mean, i really, really love it.  that is some seriously good whip.
