pics are up from rob and jo-ann’s wedding.  it was at the most lovely place (it felt like we were at a castle in scotland), and we had SUCH a great time.  when we got home, we ran into our neighbors and headed across the street to jerry’s for some more fun.  needless to say, i was hurtin’ a little the next day.  but the next day, there was more partying to be done…marisa’s graduation party as well as ashley’s graduation party.  went to ris’ first, then headed over to ashley’s where lots of small children were running around.  took lots of pics of mikey, my friend robin’s kid, who is the cutest child ever to live.  no, really.  then back to ris’ for a bit, and then back to philly.  exhausting, but great.  and while i was at said parties, mark, his sisters, and his cousin were moving all our stuff upstairs to the new apartment.  which rules, by the way.  so much more light and space.  we spent all day sunday organizing and cleaning, which was quite a task, but we’re very close to being done, and everything looks even better than we had hoped.

in other news, i guess vagina is the new cleavage.

tina…go to the shed, and BRING ME THE AXE!

i posted my high school reunion pics for all those who were there or who simply want to share in that surreal experience.  my apologies for the blurry photos–some of that is mark’s fault, some mine, and i swear i only had three classes of wine.  anyway, take a looksy.  i was so busy snapping photos that i never made it to the mashed potato station!  lol.  i hear the mini quiches were good…never got any of those either…boo.

ken lay is dead.  i’m not sure how i feel about that.    bastard…he got away with it.  but some would argue that it’s worse to die young (ish) then it is live the rest of your life in prison.  i guess it all depends on your personal and spiritual beliefs.  oh well, whatever.  i’m still torn up about aaron spelling.

weekend was nice.  saturday night we planned to have dinner at this great byob near us, las cazuelas, but when we got close, we saw that there had been a water main break in the neighborhood and girard ave was flooded.  there was water everywhere, it was pretty crazy.  so we decided to go to our old favorite, tequila’s.  we used to go to this place all the time when we lived in rittenhouse.  we even had a regular waiter who greeted us with hugs and kisses every time we went.  oh jaime, wherefore art thou?  he no longer works there–we hear he’s in mexico.  but we still love the place…aside from being gorgeous, the food is consistently amazing and the service is top notch.  we sipped some awesome tequila with our ceviche and molcajete.  ooh yummmm.  we checked out the flood later on…so awful for the people who have property damage.  we are very lucky that we have not been affected by any flooding–there was a flood here last summer as well.

sunday i headed to teaneck for jess’ belated bday celebration.  jen and jess brought babbydaddy zach along, who is fast becoming a staple at the faulkner gatherings. love him.  and i stayed at jen and jess’ place that night, where we had a little "big brother" marathon…i can’t wait for all-stars this summer!  that show is a seriously sick summer addiction.  for real.

JESS, I KNOW YOU READ THIS BLOG OBSESSIVELY  SO I WILL SAY IT AGAIN WHILE I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION:  TINA FROM THE CHALLENGE.  YUP.  ;)

mark and i had a nice, low-key fourth.  brunch with the neighbors, and then we did a little shopping and had lunch at rock lobster.  it’s a cute place but the food kinda sucked.  our waiter was totally biff from "back to the future".  no, seriously, i think it might have been him.  vegged out at home and watched our new dvds: "mommie dearest" special edition ("because i am NOT one of your FAAANS!!"), and snl’s the best of cheri oteri.  my god is she funny…the prescription drug lady is rigoddamdiculous!  and then just as we were going to head up to our roof deck to watch fireworks, it started to rain again.  so we took a little drive and saw some random local fireworks instead.

oh yeah, i saw "the da vinci code" last week, and i really enjoyed it.  it stays very true to the book, and i thought the casting was spot-on.  ian mckellen is the stand-out as usual.  paul bettany’s pretty great, too.  and i saw a preview for what looks like a great documentary about the sudden death of the electric car a few years ago.  seems like a cross between "farenheit 911" and "an inconvenient truth".

*okay i just looked it up and the guy who played biff is totally from philly!  coincidence?  i think not*
